Can you schedule Medicaid transportation online?

Yes. Alongside the phone line, New York Medicaid members can request non-emergency medical transportation through the MAS online member portal at medanswering.com — handy for setting up recurring trips like dialysis. Whether you book online or by phone, the 72-hour advance notice still applies for routine appointments, and you can name DachiPlus as your preferred provider in Nassau or Suffolk County.

What you need before you call MAS

  • Your Medicaid CIN number (Client Identification Number)
  • The appointment date, time, and the medical provider's address
  • Your pickup address and any mobility needs (wheelchair, walker, companion)
  • Whether the trip is one-time or recurring (dialysis, chemotherapy, physical therapy)

What Medicaid transportation covers

MAS-coordinated rides cover medically necessary trips at no out-of-pocket cost — dialysis, chemotherapy and radiation, doctor and specialist visits, physical therapy, mental-health and substance-use appointments, and hospital discharges. Standing orders can be set up for recurring treatment so you don't have to call for every trip. See the full eligibility rules and the 72-hour advance-booking rule for the details.
